Continuing Power of Community Week, the staff of our Rhinelander branch made tie blankets for the residents at Friendly Village. Amy Vanney and Barb Harvey, stopped by to drop off the blankets during National Skilled Nursing Care Week, formerly known as National Nursing Home Week, is one of the most important events of the year for nursing homes. Held annually since 1967 and always beginning on Mother's Day, National Skilled Nursing Care Center Week (NSNCW) is May 12-18, 2024. A few of the residents joined Amy & Barb for a photo and one of the residents is modeling the blanket Barb made, which looks very cozy! #BanksPowerWI #powerofcommunityweek #blanketlove #ThankYouNurses

Connie Schimke, as a member of the Nicolet National Foundation, requested a donation on behalf of Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship, an apprenticeship program that works with farm mentors for on-farm training and class education, for just over two years. Graduates from the apprenticeship program have opportunities for partnerships and farm startups. This donation is earmarked for continued support of the program and to keep the dairy community growing. Pictured are Tim Buttke, DGA Executive Director Joe Tomandl III and Connie Schimke. On Friday May 10th, Nicolet Bank was a sponsor, and our individual team members raised additional funds, for Unity Hospice for their annual Luminary Walk at Heritage Hill State Historical Park. Recognizing that every individual grieves in a unique way, Unity offers a wide variety of grief support services to all in their communities who have experienced a death. To create a community where no one grieves alone, these services are provided at Unity Grief and Education Center in De Pere, WI, throughout Unity’s 13-county service area, virtually, and by phone. Generous donations ensure compassionate support is offered at no charge to individual and families. Nicolet Bank is honored to support Unity Hospice, as an important resource for the community.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin put the call out for "Holiday Extravaganza" participants, for their recent Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl For Kids' Sake and our crew in Eau Claire answered! Choosing Thanksgiving as their "day" everyone-big and small-dressed as turkeys, and we are here for it! This enthusiastic flock raised almost $3000 and from these pictures-had a grand day out! Spectacular work everyone-and all compliments to your costume organizer! #BBBS #bowlingfun #turkeyflock #CommunityImpact
