Do not respond to the caller’s requests. Financial institutions and legitimate companies will never call you to request your personal information! If you feel you’ve been the victim of a scam and may have provided personal or important financial information, contact your bank immediately at their publicly listed customer service number. Often, this is found on the back of your bank card. Be sure to include any relevant details, such as whether the suspicious caller attempted to impersonate your bank and whether any personal or financial information was provided to the suspicious caller. #banksneveraskthat #prevailbank #securitytips

April was Financial Literacy Month, and with the help of the Wisconsin Bankers Foundation (WBF), Prevail Bank presented financial education to several elementary classrooms around the state in celebration and support of Teach Children to Save Day, April 25. Research shows that teaching kids about money early helps them become more #financiallyindependent as they get older, achieving higher #savings, higher #creditscores, and lower #debt. Prevail Bank employees enjoy the opportunity this time of year brings; they have just as much fun interacting and teaching the children the advantages of saving as the kids do, participating in hands-on activities. Pictured is Amanda Powell, Commercial Credit Analyst for Prevail Bank – Marshfield. She and eight (8) other Prevail Bank professionals presented the fun and engaging; “A Boy, A Budget, and A Dream” lesson plans provided by WBF. Over 320 elementary students (K-3) in Medford, Eau Claire, Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, and Owen learned the basics of budgeting. #nationalfinancialliteracymonth #pursuewhatspossible #teachchildrentosave

    | Cystic Fibrosis Month | Baby diagnosed with CF. Can you help increase awareness? Thousands, including Infants, are suffering. Can you lend your feet to increase awareness of this disease? Can you help increase awareness? True Story: A beautiful baby girl born in central Wisconsin with curly blonde hair and blue eyes should be laughing, jumping in her doorway bouncer, and crawling to her mother’s arms, but instead, she struggles to maintain her weight due to a pancreatic insufficiency. For her body to absorb nutrients, she must ingest a medication before every single meal. She suffers from recurrent lung infections that has forced multi-day, sometimes multi-week, hospitalizations. This beautiful girl has a strict regimen of inhalers, nebulizers, numerous medications, and chest physiotherapy that takes hours out of her day - every day. She’s also more prone to digestive issues like bowel obstructions, in addition to an increased risk of diabetes while still in her childhood. Her family (that includes a long-time Prevail Bank employee) are understandably stressed and emotionally exhausted. — She suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is an inherited disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs, digestive system, and other organs in the body. Symptoms vary from person to person; complications increase with age. Medications and therapies over the last 5 years have greatly improved the quality of life for those with CF. Life expectancies have now risen to 50 and beyond. But even with these advancements, this Wisconsin child faces a very different quality of life compared to other children. Help spread awareness of this genetic disorder by participating in one of the many 5K walks coordinated by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (Wisconsin Chapter), or support this little girl directly by sponsoring a member of her team that will be walking on May 4 (2024) in Marshfield WI. The funds raised will help expand research, education, and the development of specialized treatments for children suffering from / living with Cystic Fibrosis. ◼️ https://lnkd.in/gEpp4tPi ◼️ https://lnkd.in/gu-KMPQW ◼️ https://lnkd.in/eE--tAbJ
