Wendel has had the privilege of working with the University at Buffalo on the development of their Clean Energy Master Plan for South Campus, providing an actionable roadmap to achieving a zero-carbon energy system. Among other conservation and metering improvements, the plan calls for transforming the campus’s energy system from a fossil fuel-dependent steam boiler system to a geothermal heat pump system. This transition will phase out the use of fossil fuels on campus without negatively impacting resiliency or requiring significant electrical upgrades. #decarbonization #EnergyEfficiency #EnergyEfficiencyMonth
